- Hi Fred,
-
- I don't see why it would be sutch a suprise that BE is is eager to support
- developers, if they did'nt they would be dead in the water, since no software
- is available for their system.
-
- AT is just slow to get organized, but they allready have loads of software
- availble for their hardware, so they can proceed with other tasks, and catch
- up with developers afterwards.
-
- I find the whole BE isue amusing. Just because we wore all very woried for the
- future of the Amiga, we are suddently exited about a computer, witch will give
- us Amiga terms (exiting hardware, great operating system, no compatability
- whatsoever, high prices), but takes away one great thing that we finally got
- for the Amiga: Lots of software.
-
- I simply dont get it?!. If You want a fast mashine buy a Alpha 275MHZ. they
- are not that expensive. If You want compatability, and software, buy a PC, if
- You don't want a PC. but want all the great software, buy a MAC.
-
- If You like me love the Amiga, it's software, and the people (And by the way,
- You are one of those people that make me love my Amiga!, Your efford putting
- 1000s of programs on floppys and distributing them around the world at no
- charge, is what really makes me stay with my Amiga, no other platform has
- people like that!.) The people using Amigas are a very special breed indeed!,
- they will go further than anyone I know, You will find full blown projects
- that have take years to develop like Term being released as PD with full
- source, now that's what I call commitment.
-
- I understand Your fustration that AT seams slow to support developers, but I
- hope they will catch on and get things going. I don't understand the logic
- behind the Amiga users proclaiming they will jump to the BE system for one
- reason ore the other. Should the worst thing happend, and I would be forced
- tho change my computer system, I would'nt go to BE just because it's
- different, I would actually be inclined not to do that, because I don't want
- to start from level 0 once more with no software, I would probably be more
- inclined to get some exiting hardware, and run Linux or similar, where the
- same kind of spirit, as in Amiga circles seams to exist.

- PS. I don't see mutch info on the status of Your CD realeases, where can I
- find info on that latest releases and their contents?
